Silurian Age; Improv @The folding stone: The name Silur comes from the Silures, a pre-Roman people seated in the mountainous areas of South Wales. It was here that Roderick Impey Murchinson in 1835 found and named the rocks that characterize the Silurian period. To dager før 8. mars fikk jeg muligheten til å la utdrag fra mitt essay om Audre Lorde, “Mockeries of Separation” skrevet som avsluttende oppgave i emnet Kjønn og estetikk ved Uio våren 2022, gå i dialog med min egen tekst og vokalmelodi “Ocean Maker” fra albumet Liquid Stone som jeg utga med Whispers of Granite sommeren 2025. Dette “Textamorfose” arbeidet bygger videre på andre liknende flettverk jeg har jobbet med i tidsrommet 2020 og til idag. A Cappella Project
Being asked to perform at different events during covid I found it hard gathering musicians and technichians and so I desided to play things differently. This trial and error exercise has evolved into a direction for creating and performing with a different approach and mindset. It has also inspired new partnerships and arenas for my work.
Whispers of Granite
Dear music friends! I am so delighted to finally reveal what has been going on since the darkest days of lockdown. One day I got a heartwarming email from Germany and the eminent multiintrumentalist Andreas Hack, known from amongst other projects Frequency Drift. Since then we have been working together - slowly but steady though - because life just kept happening in the following years... Finally our debut album Liquid Stone is finished and we are delighted for everyone to hear. Textamorphosis
Textamorphosis Event No. 2/2026 Looking forward to this Saturday! I’ll be sharing a bit about the story and concept behind Whispers of Granite and the album Liquid Stone, which was released this summer. Music videos and visuals will be shown, and I’ll be performing excerpts from the album, which will also be available for purchase on CD and vinyl. In 2026, I am exploring the intersections of academic texts, album excerpts—including lyrics and melodies—and commissioned works performed in various contexts. This series of performances, evolving from the pandemic-born A Cappella Project, interweaves these elements toward a cohesive, full-length musical experience.
